Pili is the capital town of Camarines Sur, Region V. It is one of the municipalities in the 3rd Congressional District of Camarines Sur. It is composed of 26 barangays which covered a total land area of 122.65 km2 (47.4 sq mi). It has a total population of 76, 496 as of 2007. It is considered as a 1st class and partially urban municipality in the province of Camarines Sur.
The town commercial area is approximately at 9.97 hectares which exhibits central business district (CBD) type of development. Among its registered establishments related to commerce were sari –sari store, meat dealer, fresh/ dried fish rice/ grain retailer, poultry/ agri supply, trading merchandise, palay comprada and drugstore.
Further, the town of Pili is the home of famous CWC Camarines Sur Watersports Complex in the Philippines.

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) in the only state university for Agriculture in San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur. The university status is conferred through the Republic Act 9717 by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. It offered courses in Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering and others. Moreover, it has two branches in Calabanga and Sipocot, Camarines Sur.

Naga City or locally known as Ciudad nin Naga, Maogmang Naga is one the 1st class independent component city in the Philippines. It is 377 kilometres south-east of Manila and about 380 kilometres north-east of Cebu City. The city of Naga is called as the Heart of Bicolandia. It is where commercial, financial, religious, and cultural center of the Bicol Region are situated. The people of Naga are called Nagueños. They are well known for their deeper and strong devotion to “INA”, the Our Lady of Peñafrancia.
Further, Naga City is composed of 27 barangays which covered a total land area of 84.48 km2 (32.6 sq mi). Its total population as of 2010 is 170,000.

One of the 4th class municipalities in the province of Camarines Sur is Pamplona. It has a total population of 31, 895 people. It is considered as partially urban town with a total land area of 80.62 km2 (31.1 sq mi).
Pamplona is composed of 17 barangays which main source of living is farming. In addition, bamboo furniture and cottage are the main industries of the town.
